Early in the morning on Wednesday, January 2nd, the CLE will receive its next round of updates. The update from version 3.4 to 3.5 will include a scattering of new features, and will boast mild visual updates.
The ability to record your screen and webcam footage will now be available via the Capture tool. This advanced tool replaces the CaptureSpace Lite software that was previously implemented in the CLE and allows the user to create presentations with sound and video (including webcam), and comes with a web-based editing suite.
Users interested in holding online meetings and conferences can take advantage of Zoom. The Zoom Meeting activity is available in the activity chooser, and those with roles that can edit course content can add the Zoom meeting activity.
Here are a few more notable mentions. The 3.5 update also brings the platform up to sync with the available mobile app (IOS, Android). There will be more control over participant enrollment methods, and quiz essay file types. Information on key topics will be coming soon to our website (learningtech.library.ucsf.edu).
