Early in the morning on Saturday, June 30th, the CLE will receive its next round of updates. This will bring a more modern and accessible theme, consolidate the participant and enrollment pages, and introduce additional minor enhancements. We’ll have more details and instructions closer to the update. Here are some highlights to get you ready!
The new theme is called Boost and it really cleans up the interface. Left column navigation is replaced by a “Nav drawer” that can be slid out of the way using the “hamburger icon” at the top-left of each page. This frees up more space on the page for your instructional content. You will no longer be able to place blocks on the left side of your course. All blocks will be automatically moved to the right during the update, so be sure that you aren’t using any extraneous blocks in your course. The admin block has also been removed, and replaced by a settings icon that will appear in the top-right of the course page.
Another noticeable change is the consolidation of the functions that used to be on the Participants and Enrolled Users pages. On the new Participants page you can manage user enrollment, edit groups, and count the number of users in your course. This page can be accessed from the Participants link in the nav drawer. Help documentation will be provided on this updated page soon!
