The popular Annual Teaching and Learning Center Day returns to the UCSF Parnassus Library on Thursday, October 24, 2013. UCSF faculty, educators, staff, and students are all welcome to attend.
Headlining the 3rd annual event are Jeff Burns, founder of OPENPediatrics and Chief of Critical Care Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, and Catherine Lucey, Vice Dean for Education at UCSF’s School of Medicine, who will discuss their experiences and visions for “Education in the Cloud: Transforming Learning and Patient Care.” Lunch will also be provided!
The event will also feature free, hands-on workshops and information sessions covering topics in Simulations, Tools and Technology, and Innovation at UCSF. LTG Lead Learning Technologies Specialist, Sean McClelland will finish the day with a one-hour workshop on Presentation Trends: PechaKucha for Teaching. Make sure to catch this workshop to see if the trendy presentation style has a place in higher education, and at UCSF.
